Integrity & Safeguarding
The Mukwege Foundation works with survivors of conflict-related sexual violence around the world. Our work also reaches vulnerable communities, families and other individuals affected by conflict.
Their safety, dignity and trust are at the centre of everything we do. As such, we hold ourselves, our staff, partners and everyone acting on our behalf to the highest standards of integrity.
We approach accountability through a gender- and socially inclusive, survivor-centred lens, prioritising safety and dignity, and upholding the principles of Do No Harm and Zero Tolerance for Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, Harassment, Fraud and Corruption.
We aim to ensure that staff, partners and everyone acting on our behalf are trained and supported to uphold our standards of good conduct.
Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of everyone representing the Mukwege Foundation — staff, volunteers, interns, Supervisory Council and board members, consultants, and implementing partners. All representatives are required to read, understand and sign it.
