This is an excellent opportunity for English- and French-speaking candidates with experience in financial administration to work for an international human rights organisation with an HQ office in the Hague and country offices in Central African Republic and (in the near future) Burundi. As a small but growing organisation, we are looking for a flexible candidate who can implement our day-to-day financial administration and support the team with project budgets, donor reports, and organisational audits.
The applicant we are looking for will have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, is accurate, has a hands-on approach, and strong inter-cultural communications skills. This person is a real team player, has a sincere interest in the topic of human and women’s rights and is keen to work in the non-profit sector.
About Us
The Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation is an international human rights organization, dedicated to ending rape as a weapon of war globally. The Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation supports survivors’ demands for a world where sexual violence as a weapon of war is no longer tolerated, and bears consequences for individual perpetrators and states. We work for a future where survivors receive the holistic care & compensation they need to rebuild their lives. We create opportunities for survivors to speak out and be heard, and where they can organise to create change, influence policies, and demand justice and accountability.
We are working towards a future where sexual violence in conflict is no longer seen as inevitable, but is recognised for what it is: a crime that should have consequences. We want the international community to draw a line against wartime sexual violence and to hold states and individuals accountable. See also www.mukwegefoundation.org.
